Don’s passion for assisting family’s in crisis developed as a direct result of his own long and difficult journey in attempting to help his own very troubled teenager. His story includes resigning from a highly successful 25 year career in information technology outsourcing to come home and put all his focus and energy into uncovering and exploring every option possible to head off his son’s collision course with disaster. Through exhaustive research and a great deal of trial and error, Don and his family navigated through to a successful outcome for his son….and the rest of the family. Today, Don dedicates all his time and energy into advocating for an untold number of family’s that find themselves struggling with the issues of troubled adolescents and/or teenagers. - Board of Advisors for a teen coffee house called Solid Grounds
- Professional coaching certificate degree from Hudson Institute in Santa Barbara, California
- Training in both the Systemic and Arise Models of Family Interventions
- Masters of Education – in progress
- Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children
- Admissions Director for young adult drug and alcohol treatment program in Texas
- Family Services Counselor for young adult program in Taos, New Mexico
